National Baccalaureate
Once the compulsory Secondary Education phase has been completed, senior students at Agora Portals can choose to continue studying either the Spanish National Baccalaureate or the International Baccalaureate at Pre-University level. At this stage of their education students are expected to expand and deepen their level of intellectual, personal and social competence, and to acquire the knowledge and skills that they will need to prepare them to become independent, responsible and competent members of society.
Ensuring success
For the Spanish Baccalaureate students can choose to follow one of three academic pathways; Science and Technology or Humanist and Social. The Careers Advice and Guidance Department and students’ personal tutors are on hand to offer advice and support to pupils and their families in order to help them make these important decisions. Each student’s individual skills, aptitudes, interests and motivations are taken into consideration to help them to make choices that are best suited to their skill sets and personalities and to select the most appropriate supplementary subjects based upon each student’s individual profile.
We guide our Baccalaureate students towards the reality of university life by encouraging them to attend Open Days organised by different universities. The Guidance Department uses questionnaires and tests to help our Baccalaureate students choose the most suitable option according to their abilities and strengths. Whatever they decide to do, they will be well prepared!
The pass rate for Agora Portals students for the Spanish University Access tests (PAU) is 100%
