International Baccalaureate

Agora Portals International School was the first school on the Balearic Islands to be accepted as certified International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. The IB is an internationally recognised qualification that is designed to prepare pupils to further their academic studies anywhere in the world and to facilitate greater academic mobility.

The IB courses offer an excellent training in critical and analytic thinking and encourage intellectual independence, community participation, linguistic fluency and an awareness of the enormous, political, cultural, environmental and social challenges of the world in which we live today.

Skills for international career development

IB students are motivated and proactive, open-minded and interested in different cultures and ways of thinking.

The IB’s Diploma Program (DP) enables students to access the most prestigious universities in the world. It is a bilingual Spanish/English programme that helps pupils to develop a range of skills that are ideal for pursuing an international career. The IB pass rate at Agora Portals is 100% and a greater proportion of IB students overall end up gaining access to university. Students who obtain the International Baccalaureate Diploma in Spain are not required to sit the Spanish University Entrance Examinations (Selectividad), as the points gained from the IB courses can be validated for entry to Spanish Universities.
